Kitchens, bathrooms and countertops for Newcastle hillside homes, designed in 3D and built by a licensed contractor.
Newcastle only became a city in 1994, and most of its houses arrived around the same time: hillside two-stories from the late 1980s through the 2000s around Newcastle Highlands, Hazelwood and Lake Boren. The finishes those builders installed are now twenty and thirty years old, which is exactly when kitchens and primary bathrooms come up for replacement.
So the typical Newcastle project keeps the footprint and changes everything you touch: custom cabinets in place of the original boxes, a quartz or natural stone counter, a tiled shower with glass instead of the fiberglass unit, lighting that matches how the room is actually used. You approve all of it in 3D first.
Coal Creek Parkway runs nearly door to door between Newcastle and our downtown Bellevue office, so visits are easy to schedule, and Alex brings the cabinet door, stone and tile samples with him to the consultation.
Newcastle homes appear first, then the closest projects on the Eastside and in Seattle. Every project page walks through the photos stage by stage, from demolition to the finished room.

Book a Free ConsultationRain City is a licensed, bonded and insured Washington general contractor (License #BIRIUCL808C6). Plumbing, electrical, tile and carpentry run under one schedule, so you make one call when you have a question and one signature covers the work.
After measurements we build a 3D visualization of the finished room. You move the island, swap the door style or change the tile on screen, not after the old kitchen is gone.
We source and deliver cabinets, stone and tile, take out the old kitchen or bath and haul the debris away, so you are not coordinating suppliers, trucks and dumpsters.
Read what Eastside homeowners say about the work, the schedule and the cleanup before you call. Then call and ask us anything the reviews did not answer.

Our team takes precise measurements of your walls and rooms to ensure accuracy.
We create a detailed project plan and a 3D visualization to help you envision the final result.
Once you approve the project, we handle the purchase and delivery of all materials and begin the work.
Two permit offices, by design. Newcastle issues building and plumbing permits through its own Permit Center, while electrical permits in the city go through Washington Labor and Industries. We file with both, so you do not have to learn the difference.
Nineties builder packages. Oak rails, tile counters and fiberglass surrounds all age out together. Replacing them as one project costs less disruption than three separate ones.
Living at home. In nearly every project the family stays home. A temporary kitchen corner keeps meals possible, and the work zone stays contained and cleaned daily.
Deliveries and debris. Materials arrive when the schedule calls for them and the old rooms leave in our truck, so the hillside driveway stays clear.
" From the very first day, I aim to build a friendly and positive relationship with each customer. My core values are responsibility, meeting deadlines, and delivering exceptional quality in every project.

Building and plumbing permits go through the City of Newcastle Permit Center, and electrical permits go through Washington Labor and Industries. We handle the filings on both tracks.
Scope sets the clock: countertop swaps and refacing take about 2 to 4 weeks, a typical kitchen 6 to 12 weeks, and a full renovation that moves walls can run 3 to 4 months. The written schedule comes before the work does.
