Rain City replaces showers and tubs on the layout you have. The old unit comes out, the wall behind it is checked and repaired, the area is waterproofed, and a new tiled shower or a new tub with a tiled surround goes in, with a new valve, a niche and glass.

Before you call: the questions we hear most
Tub or shower in the main bathroom?
A tub keeps the option of bathing children and is what most buyers expect in at least one bathroom. A walk-in shower uses the space better and is easier to step into. If the house has a tub elsewhere, a shower in the main bathroom is usually the right call.
Tiled shower or a fiberglass unit?
A tiled shower is built to the room with the niche, bench and tile you chose. A unit is faster and cheaper but comes in fixed sizes and shows its age sooner. We do tiled showers.
Can you keep the same drain location?
Usually yes for a like-for-like replacement, which keeps the plumbing work small. A tub-to-shower conversion often moves the drain, which is a permitted change we handle.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel?
Most do when plumbing, electrical or structure change; a like-for-like swap of fixtures on the same layout usually does not. We handle the permit application with your city and make sure the work meets local building codes.
Can I stay in the house during the work?
Yes, most homeowners stay. We keep the work area clean and contained so the rest of the house stays usable, and we tell you in advance on which days the bathroom is out of use.
What happens if you find a problem behind the wall?
It happens in older homes: old wiring, water damage, plumbing that has to be brought up to code. That is separate work, priced separately from your original estimate, and we show it to you before it is done.
