Porcelain and natural stone tile floors, with heated floors as an option, set on a repaired subfloor by a licensed contractor.

Bathroom floors fail from underneath: a soft spot by the toilet, a cold tile in January, grout that never comes clean. Vinyl over a damaged subfloor hides the problem until the day it does not.
Rain City replaces bathroom floors across Bellevue and the Eastside. We take up the old floor, repair the subfloor where it needs it, waterproof, set porcelain or natural stone tile, and reset the toilet and vanity on top. Electric radiant heat under the tile is an option most homeowners take.

Bathroom floors are small, so the format of the tile changes the room more than the color.
Fewer grout lines and an easy floor to clean; needs a flat subfloor. Makes a small bathroom look bigger.
Porcelain that reads as wood, laid in a staggered pattern; the warmth of wood where real wood would not survive.
Small tiles on a mesh sheet: hexagons, penny rounds, marble basketweave. More grout lines, more grip, the traditional choice for older houses.
Marble or slate tile, sealed at installation. The richest look and the one that asks for the most care.
An electric radiant mat sits under the tile on its own thermostat; it does not change which tile you can use.
The floor, what is under it and what sits on top of it.
01
Vinyl, tile or laminate out, the toilet and vanity lifted, the subfloor exposed.
02
Soft or water-damaged areas of the subfloor replaced before anything goes on top.
03
A waterproof layer under the tile where the floor meets the shower or the tub.
04
Electric radiant mats under the tile on their own thermostat, the option most homeowners add.
05
Large format porcelain, wood-look planks, marble and mosaic floors, set level with tight grout lines.
06
Thresholds at the door, baseboards and shoe molding matched to the new floor.
07
The toilet reset with a new seal, the vanity reset and the plumbing reconnected.

Our team takes precise measurements of your walls and rooms to ensure accuracy.
We create a detailed project plan and a 3D visualization to help you envision the final result.
Once you approve the project, we handle the purchase and delivery of all materials and begin the work.
Porcelain tile: it does not absorb water, cleans easily and comes in stone and wood looks. Natural stone is a step up in look and care. We do not recommend laminate or wood in a bathroom.
Yes, when the floor is replaced. The mat goes under the new tile and needs its own circuit and thermostat, which is electrical work under our license.
The toilet always comes off; the vanity usually does, unless it is a floating vanity. Both are reset when the floor is done.
Yes. One year on our workmanship. Materials are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.
Yes. We partner with financing providers and can help you find a payment plan that fits your budget, including low-interest and promotional options.
Most do when plumbing, electrical or structure change; a like-for-like swap of fixtures on the same layout usually does not. We handle the permit application with your city and make sure the work meets local building codes.

A floor replacement is often done with a shower rebuild or a tub surround, so the waterproofing runs continuously from the floor into the wet area. Both are planned together in the 3D model.
