Overhangs for seating, waterfall edges and matching stone on a peninsula or a coffee bar.

Backsplash
Tile or stone backsplash installed after the counters are set: subway tile, mosaics or a slab cut from the same material.

The old counters and backsplash are removed and taken away with the debris.

Edges, seams and overhangs
Three details that decide how a countertop looks and lives with you.
Edge profiles
Eased and square edges for a modern kitchen; bullnose, half bullnose and bevel for a softer look; mitered edges to make a thin slab read as a thick one, including waterfall ends.
Seams
Slabs come in fixed lengths, so long runs and L-shapes usually need a seam. It is planned at the template stage, typically at the sink or the cooktop where it is shortest, and filled to match the stone.
Overhangs
A standard front overhang keeps drips off the cabinet doors; a seating overhang on an island needs enough depth for knees and, beyond a certain width, hidden supports.
Sink cutouts
Undermount sinks need a polished cutout edge; drop-in sinks cover the cut. Farmhouse sinks need a cabinet built for them before the top is templated.

Before you call: the questions we hear most
What is the best countertop material for a kitchen?
Quartz is our most popular recommendation for its durability, low maintenance and wide choice of colors and patterns. Granite and quartzite are excellent natural stone alternatives, while marble offers a timeless look and asks for more care.
Can the old counters come out and the new ones go in the same day?
Not usually. Removal and templating come first, and the stone is fabricated to that template before installation. We tell you the sequence and the days the kitchen sink is out of use.
Can I keep my backsplash?
Sometimes, if the new counters are the same thickness and the backsplash survives the removal of the old ones. Often the bottom row of tile has to be redone; we tell you at the template stage.
Do you install the sink and the faucet?
Yes. Undermount and farmhouse sinks are set with the counters, and the plumbing is reconnected under our license.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We partner with financing providers and can help you find a payment plan that fits your budget, including low-interest and promotional options.
Where can I see cabinet doors, stone and tile samples?
We bring them to your consultation, so you compare them at home in your own light. The full set is at our office at 10900 NE 4th St, Unit 2300 in downtown Bellevue, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Is there a warranty on the work?
Yes. One year on our workmanship. Materials are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.
