Rain City is a licensed, bonded and insured Washington general contractor. The plumber, the electrician and the tile setter are on our schedule, not yours.
Approved on screen first
The finished bathroom exists as a 3D model before anything is ordered or removed. Changes are made there, where they cost nothing.
Materials in, debris out
We buy and deliver the cabinets, stone and tile, take out the old bathroom and haul the debris away. Nothing waits in your driveway for someone else.
A written estimate and a one-year warranty
You get the estimate in writing after the in-home visit. The workmanship is covered for one year; materials by their manufacturers.
Questions homeowners ask before a bathroom project
Curb or curbless shower?
A low curb is the standard and keeps water in with a simple slope. A curbless entry is easier to step into and better for aging in place, and it needs the right subfloor for the slope. We tell you after measurements which one your bathroom allows.
What tile is best in a shower?
Porcelain for the walls and a small-format tile or mosaic on the shower floor for grip and drainage. Natural stone works with sealing and more care.
Can you keep the shower in the same place?
Yes, most shower remodels keep the footprint and the drain, which keeps the plumbing work small. Enlarging the shower or moving the drain is a permitted change we handle.
Do I need a permit for a bathroom remodel?
Most do when plumbing, electrical or structure change; a like-for-like swap of fixtures on the same layout usually does not. We handle the permit application with your city and make sure the work meets local building codes.
Can I stay in the house during the work?
Yes, most homeowners stay. We keep the work area clean and contained so the rest of the house stays usable, and we tell you in advance on which days the bathroom is out of use.
What happens if you find a problem behind the wall?
It happens in older homes: old wiring, water damage, plumbing that has to be brought up to code. That is separate work, priced separately from your original estimate, and we show it to you before it is done.
